Fund For Armenian Relief, the founder of Ayo, is an American humanitarian and development organization that implements short-term relief projects in emergency situations, as well as long-term programs focusing on child protection, economic development, education, healthcare and social services. FAR was founded in 1988 with the initiative of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in America after the devastating earthquake in Gyumri. Ayo is an initiative of active young people, which was created in 2013 with the goal to give solutions to local problems. Ayo projects are created to inspire Armenian youth in the territory of Armenia, as well as outside Armenia, to promote the power of unity and the aspiration to achieve the best. The AYO platform operates due to the donation of Marta Batmasyan, as a result of which 100% of the proceeds from online and offline campaigns is directed to the implementation of the programs. Funds are used to implement humanitarian and development projects in the areas of economic development, education, healthcare, social and child care. In 2017, the at that point small team of Voskeporik opened a development center in Martuni city, which aimed to do everything to contribute to the integration of children with physical and mental special needs into society, as well as to ensure their regular attendance to the necessary rehabilitation therapies. The transportation of children was an obstacle on the road towards this mission. Since February 7, 2022 the vehicle purchased with the support of the Fund For Armenian Relief’s Ayo crowdfunding platform was put into operation. The vehicle helps to carry out the rehabilitation treatment of Voskeporik Development Center’s children with muscular problems. By supporting this program, we will have a positive impact on a huge chain, contributing to the rehabilitation and integration of children, the process of educating and equipping parents, as well as the important work of changing society's perception of values in general.
