On March 21, a training was held at the Voskeporik Development Center of the city of Martuni, which was conducted by the Speech Therapist of the center Mary Ghazaryan. The traning addressed a number of speech therapy issues: Who is the Speech Therapist? What are the duties of the Speech Therapist? and What’s the relation between speech therapy and sensory integration?
The training was attended by the parents of the children of the Voskeporik Development Center and the specialists of the center.
Voskeporik Development Center emphasizes the importance of the parent’s involvement in the child’s rehabilitative, therapeutic process.
The workshop was full of information, it also had a practical part. The participants were divided into four groups, each group was given a case. The aim was to bring out the problems and solutions during the discussion.
The parents, having a lot of experience in working with their children, had the opportunity to improve their knowledge, as well as to put their knowledge into practice.
Summarizing the results, we can say that each group did a brilliant job, reinforcing the knowledge they had acquired.
