Alyana Sargsyan was born on December 29, 2017, in the Gladzor community of Vayots Dzor region. She is the first and expected child in the family. In the initial period, the development of Alyana proceeded normally. At the age of two and a half, family members noticed that the child had difficulty walking.
In September 2021, the child attended the Yeghegnadzor branch of the Voskeporik Development Center and received rehabilitation treatment – physiotherapy.
“During that time, we had a positive change in gait. We made many friends there, our daily life is spent in a very warm atmosphere,” – says the child’s mother.
She says that while attending the center, they realized that speech therapist intervention is also needed in connection with speech development. The mother happily reports that now the child is speaking, singing, and making sentences.
Alyana continues to attend Voskeporik Development Center and participates in events.
