UMCOR Armenia Foundation

UMCOR Armenia Foundation is the main donor of Artissimo NGO, cooperation with which started in 2018 and continues to this day. UMCOR Armenia charitable organization has been implementing humanitarian and development projects in the Republic since 1994. UMCOR's mission in Armenia is to support poverty eradication and social economic development. The constant focus areas of the organization include agriculture, healthcare, education, anti-trafficking, disasters, risk reduction, and others. The improvement programs of these areas are implemented in almost all regions of Armenia. With the support of the foundation, the special program Art Opens Doors was launched in 2018, aimed at the integration of children with special educational needs in society. To achieve the main goal of the project, a number of activities were carried out: "Arvestanots'' with various artists, remedial education courses, seminar-meetings with psychologists, as well as events where the children from other educational institutions participated. UMCOR Armenia was the first to trust us, and due to the cooperation, we are able to serve two regions: Martuni and Yeghegnadzor communities. During these years, the number of our beneficiaries has increased from 12 children with special needs to 350. Currently the center has about 21 employees and is equipped with the high-quality equipment necessary to carry out the rehabilitation treatment.
