The Beacons are light and warmth, talented youth between five and fifteen years old from around Armenia. The group originated as part of the one hundred-year anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in 2015. 150 gifted children and teens from Yerevan and Armenia’s different regions lit the memorial with their talent and art. One hundred beacons of commemoration and rebirth, showing the world that one hundred years after the Genocide, the gene of Armenian creativity is alive and continues to be renewed and create for the prosperity of Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian Diaspora.

The project was launched by the Naregatsi Art Institute, where, in 2015, the “100 Beacons” project started.

Today the Beacons are an accomplished and continuing long-term project, full of bright ideas that, based on past successes, are sure to be implemented.
